This years Orange British Academy of Film and Television Awards held at the Covent Garden Royal Opera House last night had a few surprises in store. This was not only for the film makers and actors but for the fashion set too. The red carpet featured a floury of British designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Victoria Beckham and Paul Smith. Other snippets of excitement included the first 'Eco -friendly gown' by Valentino and a high street name- H&M was worn by Michelle Williams.
Although the Bafta's is often seen as a low key version of the Oscar's, the fashion choices worn by the celebrities were just as exciting!
The black, gothic, glamour theme continued with many celebrities wearing black. Best Actress Meryl Streep and Christina Hendricks both wore British designs by Vivienne Westwood. Australian actress Melissa George also chose British wearing a long sleeved luxe black sequinned dress by Victoria Beckham. Accesorised with jet black drop earrings and a tasseled clutch bag. Helena Bonham Carter added her own vampy style with a frill style dress and fingerless gloves.
Stylish metalics were also a featured trend on the red carpet. Stunning gold metallic gowns were worn by Christina Ricci in Givenchy and Jessica Chastain in Oscar de la Renta.
Olivia Williams wore a textured silver gown by Vivienne Westwood with coordinating silver jewellery accessories. Steal this show stopping look with our silver Squares range from the Bling Rocks Collection with an almost identical necklace, bracelet and earrings.
